Job Description
The VFX Production Finance Coordinator splits duties between traditional accounting and analytical responsibilities. He or she is responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR), coordinating Accounts Payable (AP), light contract management and various administrative tasks. In addition, he or she will support Senior Financial Analysts with Film Tax Credit applications, refreshes for weekly reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and data cleaning/maintenance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow a career in Production Finance within a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsbilities
• Accounts Receivable
• Monthly customer invoicing, AR aging reconciliations, maintenance of project payment schedules
• Accounts Payable (Production focused)
• Eyeline's end-to-end procure to pay process in partnership with Netflix's accounting team. Includes vendor onboarding, PO requisitioning, PO review & reconciliation, invoice review and approvals within Workday, and general AP support and processing
• Tax Credits
• Support Eyeline's VFX Film Tax Credit applications, labour declarations and related work.
• Project Maintenance
• Project setup and closure within Workday and proprietary time tracking system.
• Contract Management
• Responsible for digital filing of production contracts and ensuring alignment between invoicing and production contracts
• Analytics Work
• Refresh weekly Production Finance insight reports and slide decks, clean and maintain key data sources, support ad-hoc analysis as directed
• Other tasks as required and/or as experience permits
• Bidding tool technical support for VFX producers and executive producers
• Preparing and maintaining key data sources in Netflix's Big Data Portal
• Other duties as required
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor degree preferred
• Familiarity with Excel and Google Sheets
• Basic understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP
• Experience in the film industry/animation/gaming or VFX preferred but not required
• Experience with Workday or similar accounting or ERP software preferred
• Proven ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines while working under supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-finance stakeholders
$33,000 - $62,000 a year
This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Vancouver, BC. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
