Job Description
About Live Nation:

Join the team at Live Nation, where innovation meets live entertainment on a global scale! With 40,000 shows and 500 million tickets sold each year, we're the industry leader, powered by 44,000 talented individuals worldwide. At Live Nation, we're passionate about transforming live events and creating extraordinary moments for artists, event professionals, and fans.

About the role:

Ready to take your accounting career to the next level? There's no better place to do it than behind the scenes of one of the world's biggest live entertainment businesses. We're looking for a driven and analytically minded Management Accountant to join the Finance team at Live Nation in Melbourne.

In this full-time role, you'll sit within the Management and Tour Accounting function, taking ownership

of month-end tour packs, balance sheet reconciliations, and ancillary revenue reporting across a portfolio of live music tours spanning Australia and New Zealand. It's a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where accuracy matters and no two months look exactly the same.

If you're working towards your CA/CPA and want to build your career in live entertainment, apply now with your resume and a cover letter outlining why you're the perfect fit for this role.

What you'll be doing:
• Tour accounting: Prepare month-end tour packs with supporting analysis and commentary, including variance reporting of actuals versus forecast.
• Ledger management: Own all tour-related ledger entries, liaising with Tour Accountants to ensure accuracy in tour profit calculations.
• Balance sheet reconciliations: Complete monthly reconciliations for tours, including accrual deferrals reporting for Financial Controller approval.
• Metrics and reporting: Upload monthly forecast and actual tour results into the financial reporting system, including show count, ticketing, and contribution margin reporting.
• Artist payments and compliance: Arrange artist payments, assist with withholding tax lodgements, and support internal and external audits.
• Ancillary income: Process loyalty and volume agreements, forecast and invoice ancillary revenues, and reconcile related accounts.

What you'll bring:
• Accounting foundation: 2-3 years experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role, with a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and working towards CA/CPA.
• Analytical mindset: Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and present clear reconciliations and commentary.
• Collaborative and detail-driven: A team player with a positive attitude who takes pride in accuracy, manages multiple competing deadlines, and can work autonomously when needed.
• Excel proficiency: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with comfort across the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Fast-paced adaptability: Experience working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• Industry interest: A genuine interest in music, live entertainment, or the events industry, with an appreciation for the fast-paced nature of touring and peak periods.

The Benefits:
• A vibrant, music-focused workplace fostering creativity and collaboration.
• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
• A flexible approach to when and where you work, designed to support balance in all aspects of life.
• Access to concerts, events, and other entertainment perks.
• A diverse, equitable workplace where every voice matters.
• Comprehensive benefits, from volunteer days to wellness programs and mental health support.

Equal Opportunities:

We are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion. You will be working in an inclusive environment and be encouraged to bring your whole self to work. We will do all that we can to help you successfully balance your work and Homelife. As a growing business, we will encourage you to develop your professional and personal aspirations, enjoy new experiences, and learn from the talented people you will be working with. It's talent that matters to us and we encourage applications from people irrespective of their gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability status or caring responsibilities.
