Overview and Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst, FP&A, will play a critical role in analyzing data and building financial models to identify key opportunities that drive strategic business initiatives. This role is part of the Pluto TV Financial Planning & Analysis team and reports to the Manager, FP&A. Our team is collaborative, passionate , and aims to drive business decisions on all levels through high-quality, accurate , timely, and relevant data, analysis, and insights. This position will primarily focus on managing Ad Revenue and SG&A budgets and applicable reporting to support all stakeholders, including business partners, Central teams, consolidations, and executive management. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and have a solid background in managing financial budgets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Forecasting: Building and updating models during reporting cycles, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans globally
• Cost Management: Creating and maintaining dashboards to monitor business performance against budget. Developing relationships with business partners to drive towards profitability targets
• Financial Analysis: Creating and maintaining business models to identify trends, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations based on findings
• Providing financial overviews to senior management.
• Reporting: Preparing and delivering time-sensitive reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborating across teams to provide reporting and provide meaningful insights
• Financial Operations: Evaluating existing processes and recommending improvements
• Building new processes where necessary to support the operations of the Pluto TV FP&A team
• Cash Payments: Support OTC to ensure aging balances are accurate and vendors are paid in a timely manner
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Sourcing, consolidating, and organizing financial data to create clear and actionable analysis for internal review and rapid decision-making
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of work experience in finance, accounting, or similar quantitative role; media, entertainment, and/or technology experience a plus
Additional Qualifications
• Advanced Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace suite skills, particularly Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
• A willingness and quick ability to learn new software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - be able to conduct and synthesize large datasets to deliver critical insights in an easy-to-digest format for management and external partners
• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 80,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
