Job Description

Are you ready to power the network behind one of Las Vegas's most trusted news sources? KTNV, The E.W. Scripps ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a Network Engineer who will design, implement, and maintain the critical network infrastructure that keeps our station connected and our content flowing. You'll play a vital role in ensuring network performance, scalability, and security while collaborating with IT teams and business units across our organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
• Configure and manage switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Participate in network upgrade projects including data center modernization, firewall replacements, and SD-WAN deployment.
• Implement network security best practices including access control, segmentation, and compliance monitoring.
• Maintain documentation of network architecture, diagrams, and configurations.
• Provide on-call support for critical issues and participate in incident response.
• Collaborate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams to resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in change management and follow ITIL/ITSM processes.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent year of experience preferred
• Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and adept to managing priorities
• Strong team player with a customer-focused mindset
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware preferred
• Proficient with routing protocols and switching technologies
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network monitoring tools
• Experience with Juniper SRX firewalls is essential
