Job Description
Deliver creativity to the world - one note, one voice, one idea at a time. At Spotify, we focus relentlessly on building the best and most valuable experience available anywhere, enhancing every moment by connecting the world to the art and the creatives that shape it.
We're growing our world-class Audiobooks Editorial team and are looking for a Market Enablement Manager to evolve and lead the standards, frameworks, and systems that power Audiobooks editorial at global scale. As Spotify expands Audiobooks into new markets and regions, this role works in close partnership with our regional editorial leads and cross-functional stakeholders to bring Audiobooks to life locally. You'll be the custodian of editorial quality, making sure our human editorial judgement is brought consistently to new and distributed markets, from the same foundation of taste, standards, and craft.
What You'll Do
• Own editorial launch readiness for markets where dedicated regional editorial coverage has not yet been established, including primary responsibility for upcoming shared World English curation, ensuring high-quality, culturally resonant content is ready for listeners from day one.
• Design and maintain the editorial frameworks, quality standards, and programming guidelines that enable consistent, high-quality Audiobooks curation across Spotify's growing market footprint
• Build and scale the tools, playbooks, and onboarding resources that allow regional editors, market partners, and cross-functional teams to programme Audiobooks confidently and independently
• Collaborate closely with regional editorial leads to ensure Market Enablement frameworks are grounded in on-the-ground editorial reality and serve the needs of editors working directly in market
• Identify editorial coverage needs across Spotify's markets and develop scalable solutions - from shared curation models to AI-assisted workflows - to meet them
• Lead the editorial systems and tooling roadmap in collaboration with Product and Engineering, including catalog tagging, editorial scoring, and workflow infrastructure
• Build and manage the Market Enablement function's editorial calendar, ensuring alignment with global launch priorities, cultural moments, and cross-functional initiatives
• Define and monitor quality signals across distributed markets, surfacing insights to regional editors and leadership to drive continuous improvement
• Partner with the Director of Editorial to develop the long-term global standards as Audiobooks scales
Who You Are
• You have 7+ years of experience in editorial, content strategy, or programming - ideally at a global digital platform, streaming service, or major publisher
• You have a demonstrated track record of building editorial systems, frameworks, or standards that scale across teams, markets, or content types
• You understand how editorial quality works in practice - you've made programming decisions yourself and can translate that judgment into structures others can use
• You are an exceptional communicator who can make complex editorial concepts accessible to non-editorial partners across functions and markets
• You have experience working with or alongside market, regional, or international teams and understand the tension between global consistency and local relevance
• You are curious about AI tools and editorial technology, and have thought seriously about how they can augment - not replace - human editorial judgment at scale
• You are a natural systems thinker who sees patterns, builds processes, and creates clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• You care deeply about books and are passionate about the evolution of audio and spoken-word storytelling
• You communicate clearly, prioritize ruthlessly, and thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments
Where You'll Be
This role is based in New York, London or Stockholm
• We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
• We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.
