About the Role & Team
Disney Entertainment Marketing seeks a Paralegal to provide legal and general support for Disney Entertainment related to the global marketing and advertising of motion picture, television, and streaming productions. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with multi-faceted legal support by working with business units and other professionals in the legal department on projects and agreements for various matters across marketing, such as publicity, special events, influencer collaborations, digital and product marketing, and vendor engagements. This includes reviewing content for compliance with policies, drafting legal correspondence and legal documents for attorney review; preparing summaries and reports; assisting with data entry and maintaining files and databases; assisting with due diligence related to transactional matters; and assisting the team with other special projects as may be necessary from time to time.
What You Will Do:
• Provide support to Disney Entertainment Marketing Legal attorneys in all aspects of
legal matters with routine to intermediate complexity in the relevant practice area.
• Assist Disney Entertainment Marketing Legal attorneys with drafting, preparing, proofing,
and/or summarizing legal documents and correspondence, as well as administrative
workflows, including document routing, execution, and recordkeeping.
• Conduct document analysis, fact finding, verification, preparation and filing transactional
documents, or legal research.
• Develop, update, and maintain templates, guidelines, and standard operating
procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• At least 1+ years of experience as a paralegal or related field.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience in a law firm, media or technology
company preferred.
• Ability to handle a high volume of work and work through projects with minimal
supervision.
• Ability to identify and analyze complex issues and devise solutions and strategies.
• Must have superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload
efficiently and effectively.
• Strong understanding of contracts, with the ability to draft contract language and
integrate business terms into agreements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with members within the
department and personnel in other legal and business groups.
• Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with entertainment and motion picture or television industry.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in a law firm, media or technology company preferred
Education:
• A Bachelor's Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and/or any applicable state codes

The hiring range for this position in greater Los Angeles area is $72,000 to $96,500 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
