Job Description
This position will participate in functional projects and support configuration activities for new functionality and enhancements within Workday's Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking, Scheduling product suite. As part of the global configuration and solutions team, this role will work to ensure configurations in Workday comply with local and country specific requirements and will liaise with HR and Technology departments, related to the responsibilities referenced below. This role will be a cross section of requiring the analytical skills of a business systems analyst, the creativity of a solution architect, and process knowledge of a functional superuser.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Workday Implementation and Project Delivery:
• Able to work independently and resolve complex Workday bugs impacting global / regional level workforce
• Support day-to-day business operations to troubleshoot issues and develop configuration fixes
• Ensure thorough documentation of requirements, conceptual design, and end-to-end processes
• Collaborate with team members and other functional teams (e.g. People & Culture) to ensure efficient delivery of new configuration in Workday
• Actively participate in discovery sessions with stakeholder(s) and/or project sponsor(s) to understand business requirements and deepen service offerings to our Employees, Supervisors and Business Partners.
• Demonstrate Workday configuration through the development of a proof of concept (prototype)
• Supports configuration testing efforts executing testing for any new Workday features being adopted
• Support management on ad-hoc projects as required
• Assist in development of training materials and partner in change management efforts and organizational readiness
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders and customers in remote locations
Continuous Improvement:
• Maintain process controls to help design, implement and/or monitor operations as part of initial configuration/implementation and continuous improvement:
• Participate in various process improvement projects, and assist in the process and system change implementations
• Participate in update trainings as needed
Project Management Office:
• This position will support PMO efforts for Workday projects
• Understand and execute critical path activities and resolve or escalate issues as needed
• Deliver on project/process documentation as part of transition of support to operations
Perform other duties as required at the request of senior members of HR Services.
Work Experience:
• 3+ years of Workday operational or configuration experience in HR, Payroll, Time Tracking or Absence
• Experience in development and implementation of process and systems changes required
• Prior experience in multinational environment required
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification:
• Bachelor's degree in a business related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience required
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools
Knowledge/Skills:
• Fluency in business English
• Ability to gather and translate business requirements/technical solutions
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/activities and prioritize appropriately
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly through instruction and self-training
• Proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Passion for customer service
• Be solution oriented with the flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
